Pet Emergencies
If your pet is having an emergency, they shouldn’t have to wait to receive medical attention. During our regular office hours, we prioritize patients that are in urgent need of care. Call our animal hospital right away if your pet has any of the following:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Bloody stool/vomit
- Seizures
- Trauma (hit by a car, attacked by another animal)
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Choking/gagging
- Abnormal head tilt
- Weakness
- Collapse
- Pale gums
- Labored breathing
- A fast and/or irregular heart rate
- Allergic reaction (swelling of the face, hives, bumps on skin)
Ingesting toxic foods and other substances can also be extremely harmful to your pet. Therefore, don’t hesitate to contact us. Notifying us ahead of time gives our team the opportunity to prepare for your pet’s arrival and treat them as soon as possible.

We hope your pet never has to experience an emergency, especially at a time when our office is closed. However, should you have need of emergency veterinary services outside of our business hours, we recommend the following referral centers, which both offer 24/7 emergency and critical care.
