Pet Diagnostics in Sharon

If your pet is ill, injured, or needs to be examined prior to their surgical procedure, we may need to run pet diagnostics to make a more comprehensive evaluation of their overall health. An exam is often just the first step towards making a diagnosis, and can only tell us so much on its own. When your pet is very sick and you’re not sure why, our compassionate veterinary staff will use every resource available to understand the problem and find the best treatment. We believe our patients deserve nothing less than to be treated as if they were our very own family members.

Laboratory Testing

Our state-of-the-art laboratory equipment allows us to run various blood, urine, and fecal tests to check for signs of disease, infection, parasites and more. In fact, we run a majority of our blood work in-house, which means that we can obtain the most accurate test results in as little as 20 minutes. This is especially important for pets who have urgent medical needs.

Digital X-Ray and Ultrasound

To produce clear, precise images of your pet’s bones and internal organs in high definition, we utilize Cuattro digital X-ray technology. Digital X-ray is efficient and cost-effective, and helps the process of taking X-rays go much more quickly for your pet. With X-ray, we can check for bone fractures, foreign bodies, tumors, arthritis, and much more.

Our Esaote ultrasound machine allows us to obtain real-time images of your pet’s internal organs. As a result, we can check for bladder tumors, kidney issues, pregnancies, and the presence of fluid in the abdomen. To learn more about our ultrasound capabilities, visit our ultrasound page.

We can also study the electrical impulses of your pet’s heart by performing an electrocardiogram. This helps us to detect irregularities of the heart and assess its current condition, and is an important tool for monitoring patients during their surgery. Call our team at (781) 784-7554
