Dr. Walter Meyers was born and raised on Long Island, New York. Ever since he could remember, his dream was to become a veterinarian as he has always had a deep appreciation for all kinds of animals. Throughout his middle school and high school career, he volunteered to raise quails at local animal shelters and at a horse barn that provided hippotherapy to disabled children.
Dr. Meyers pursued his Bachelors degree in Animal Sciences and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. Throughout his time at Kansas State, he worked on all kinds of animal species but fell in love with working with dogs and cats. He admires the deep connections owners have with their pets and hopes to foster that relationship further by providing high-quality veterinary care.
He is excited to start caring for the pets in the Sharon community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, reading, and playing with his Orange Tabby Chewie.
