Just moved into the area and came in for our first appointment.  The staff are very friendly, kind and efficient, and we loved taking advantage of their "free new patient appointment" promotion!

First time at Sharon Vet Clinic and everyone was amazing! We were looking for a new vet and so happy we came across this one. Susan is also super kind and inviting making the experience that much better.

We absolutely love Sharon Vet clinic! We live an hour away but make the drive because of the quality of care they give to our sweet kitties. ❤️ The staff is very knowledgeable and explain everything very well.

Terrible. My first time ever going there with my kitten who was Iimping and my greeting was being asked several times in a row if I have a cat carrier after I was already inside the building. Then was provided a cardboard box and told I could keep it if I paid $22. I declined.
Then we were seen in a dirty room and my pet was given x-rays. I was told he had a fractured femur. Vet meyers said he would submit a referral to an orthopedic specialist Tufts and to wait for a call from them. He also provided oral pain meds for the kitten for 7 days. This was on a Thursday late afternoon. On Monday afternoon I received a call from Tufts vet stating that they were following up on a referral for hind leg lameness and were booking consults in October. I was confused and said that we were given 1 week supply of oral pain meds and were under the impression that the surgery would be scheduled within that time frame. The woman from Tufts said nowhere on the referral did it say there was a fracture, and that I should be taking my kitten to the Veterinary emergency department.
Needless to say we will never return there, and believe this to be complete malpractice. The vet made an incorrect referral and did not give us the appropriate guidance to go to an ER vet instead of going home and waiting 4 days for a phone call. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this office.also the room we were put it was clearly not cleaned in a long time. Unfortunate.

I’m updating my previous review. My last few experiences at Sharon Vet have been awful. My last vet visit I was made to feel like I was being judged for not wanting to give my dog a specific vaccine. Dr. E’s attitude was less than professional. This could have been handled differently by explaining to me why they believe a vaccine is important and the consequences for not doing it and if I had any other options. As it is, I have checked with other veterinary professionals and receiving far better, courtesy, and professionalism I will be getting the vaccine but not at this clinic. Opportunity missed.
My latest visit was absolutely terrible. Over a month ago I checked with Susan to make sure they would be able to work with me to complete some tests for a study. I was assured that this would be possible as long as I sent the instructions ahead of time so they had time to take a look at them. That day, I requested those instructions and sent them a few days after. I emailed them to Susan’s attention per her request. When I arrived today, it was clear those instructions were never communicated. The nurses are amazing and I want everybody to know that because they are one of the front line staff and have more reason to be cranky than anyone. They are professional and kind and empathetic. However, when Dr. E Came in the room he was anything but kind, empathetic, and professional. He looked over the instructions that I brought with me, and I explained that those instructions had been sent a few weeks ago, and he kept saying that they never received them. I explained that I had sent the instructions because I was instructed too, and I was assured this could be done. I could go into a lot more detail, but I think that captures it. Ultimately, he said that he doesn’t want to get into an argument where I’m accusing him. Which seemed to come out of left field. I explained that they didn’t need to do any of it and packed up the box I brought with me. I was very upset because I did everything I possibly could to make sure they had what they needed, and I was only asking them to do a few small things that a tech could do quickly. I will not be returning to this vet. In addition to their professionalism, their prices seem incredibly high – $350 for a 4 vaccines and a wellness examination. I will be looking for another vet that will treat me better.

Dr. Eichinger, originally from Iowa, earned his DVM in 1982. He has practiced in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles before purchasing Sharon Veterinary Clinic in 2012. A Fear Free Certified practitioner, he enjoys caring for dogs and cats. He lives with his wife, Susan, their four cats - Bang Bang, Ding Ding, Choo Choo, and Grimalkin - and their dog Bobo.

Dr Walter Meyers was born and raised on Long Island, NY, and always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. He earned his Bachelors in Animal Sciences and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University, where he gained experience with many species but found his passion in caring for dogs and cats. He values the bond between pets and their families and is excited to provide quality care for the Sharon community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, reading, and spending time with his cat, Chewie.

Dr. Walter Meyers

Dr Gregory grew up in Rhode Island and earned her BS in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and her DVM from Tufts. With experience in equine, bovine, and lab medicine, she found her true passion in small animal care. She enjoys preventive medicine, surgery, and building strong client relationships. At home, she and her husband, Phil, share life with their two Australian Shepherd rescues, Mo and Jewell.
